Laser Hair Reduction
Laser Hair Reduction
Laser hair reduction works by delivering light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in a hair. By converting light energy into heat, the light damages the tube-shaped sacs within the skin that produce hair (hair follicles). The damage inhibits or delays the growth of future hair. Additionally, this minimally invasive procedure eliminates ingrown hairs and precisely targets specific hairs.
During laser treatment, hair follicles that are hit by the laser can take days or weeks to shed. Some hairs do not fall out immediately, and the shedding process can sometimes appear as continued growth. The results can differ significantly from person to person, perhaps due to a wide range of factors, including the thickness, density, or location of the hair. Laser hair removal usually does not result in permanent hair removal, although it can delay hair growth for months or years.
Now offering Pro-Nox™ for your comfort
Our goal at Beauty Boss Co. Aesthetics & Wellness is for our patients to feel at ease and comfortable during their procedures. To provide fast-acting pain relief, the Pro-NoxTM Aesthetic System combines inhaled oxygen and nitrous oxide 50/50. The sedative drug nitrous oxide, known as laughing gas, has been used for hundreds of years. Although it is not a substitute for anesthesia, lidocaine provides a complementary effect and enhances the effect of the local anesthetic.

How many treatments do I need?
In most cases, patients need four to six treatments spaced out over a period of six weeks.
When should I shave before my laser treatment?
It is recommended that you shave within 24 hours of your laser appointment.
Is there any downtime after a laser hair removal treatment?
You can return to work or continue your day after your treatment. You will notice some hairs falling out during or immediately after hair removal.
