Botox®/Dysport®

Dysport® reduces the appearance of frown lines between the eyebrows with an injectable treatment. Using the same principle as Botox®, it prevents the muscles between the brows from contracting, further worsening these wrinkles. By targeting only these muscles, Dysport® avoids the “frozen” or unnatural appearance often associated with injectable treatments. By doing so, patients can maintain their natural facial expressions while looking more youthful and rested. In general, treatment lasts three to four months, with varying results from patient to patient.

Is Dysport® the same as Botox®?

Dysport® is an injectable that is similar to Botox®. Both injectablescan take up to two weeks to show up, but Dysport® works faster than Botox®, with effects showing up in just a few days.

Am I a good candidate for Dysport®?

Dysport injections might be right for you if you’re unhappy with your expression lines and wrinkles. Depending on how deep and where your wrinkles are located, it may take more than one injection to treat them.

When will I see the results of Dysport® injections?

Initially, the neuromodulator Dysport® takes 2-5 days to take effect, and it reaches its peak effects in 2-3 weeks. It usually takes 14 days for patients to see full results.

Will I have recovery or downtime after Dysport®?

Dysport® requires no downtime after treatment, so patients can return to their normal activities immediately. Minor post-injection swelling at the injection site is entirely normal. Applying an ice pack or cold compress to the treatment area a few hours after the procedure may be helpful. Additionally, you should refrain from strenuous exercise for 24 hours afterward.
